Nicolau Farms is a hidden oasis nestled down a long dirt road about five miles south of Modesto in the heart of the lush California, San Joaquin Valley. As one of the last remaining goat farmsteads in California, Nicolau Farms is proud to milk their herd of Alpine, Saanen, and La Mancha dairy goats, which produce some of the finest "white gold" (goat's milk) in the world.
It begins by raising all of their own forage on their 30 acre farm. The girls enjoy a California "happy goat" life where they eat free choice Nicolau Farms hay, drink cool clean water, roam freely in their fenced areas to bask in the California sun, or stay cool under the 8,000 plus square feet of shade barns.
From the field to the table, Nicolau Farms always ensures the highest quality, every step of the way. They like to think of their farm as a well-oiled machine, with the highest quality feed comes the highest quality milk, and with the highest quality milk, everyone enjoys the highest quality farmstead cheeses. This well-oiled machine is a glimpse at the little oasis down the long dirt road known as Nicolau Farms.
