Bauman Orchards was started in 1929. They are a family-owned business and are currently in the fourth generation of Baumans. Bill and Doug Bauman purchased the farm in the 1980s with Bill’s sons Bryce and Brett set to take over ownership in 2023. The orchard originally started with 20 acres of land and has since grown to over 260 acres. Apples and peaches are the primary focus of the farm with over 160 acres of apples and approximately 60 acres of peaches. Apples are packed in the fall and continue being sold through the winter and into the spring. Peach season tends to be a bit shorter, starting in late July and continuing into the first week of September.
In addition to raising these crops, Bauman Orchards currently has 3 of its own farm markets where they sell their produce. Wholesale is also another channel that produce is moved through. With having their own packing house and fleet of delivery trucks, they distribute their produce to various customers including grocery chains, produce distributors, and schools. Their produce is sent throughout Ohio and into the surrounding states including, Indianapolis, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Bauman Orchards will continue to offer high quality produce at a superior level and will work to meet the demands of its customers.
