Kasturi Farms started in 2012 with the main goal of running a sustainable farm business that nourishes the community and nurtures the land. They are now a prominent grower and shipper in Texas, while still wanting to learn as much as possible about farming from other experienced farmers throughout the world.
Kasturi Farms grows over 125 acres of summer squash, okra, cucumbers, and eggplant. They have expanded into Indian and other ethnic markets with commodities such as Daikon radish, Methi Leaf (aka fenugreek), Indian eggplant, Thai eggplant, Chinese eggplant, and beets.
The owner, Vijay Singhal, is passionate about his farm and the work saying, "Farming makes me feel alive. The cycle of sowing seeds, growing, nourishing, harvesting, and eating – and then composting – is magical. It makes me feel truly in touch with the nature, and I love living that way. Farming has allowed me to connect with every part of myself: my head, my hands, and my heart. Farming is an intellectual, physical, and emotional job, and I am grateful to experience these aspects of being a human on a daily basis."
We are proud to work with Kasturi Farms and hope you enjoy their products.
